Better hospitals and more health workers
Working with Premier Chris Minns, we're delivering better hospitals and more health workers to improve health services across Monaro
We’re making sure we have the health workers needed to run our hospitals. That starts by improving pay and conditions - with the largest pay rise for health workers in over a decade.
In just three years, we’ve recruited an additional 242 nurses, 5 doctors, 52 paramedics, and 52 allied health professionals across the Monaro electorate.
This includes 17 additional ambulance paramedics for Cooma - more than double previous numbers.
We’re also making Cooma Ambulance station operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, expanding Bombala Hospital and delivering the new Jindabyne ambulance station.
We still have a lot more to do and I’ll keep working to deliver the local health services you deserve.
