Local Woman of The Year Award Nominations Open for 2024
Member for Monaro, The Hon Steve Whan, is pleased to announce that nominations for the 2024 Monaro NSW Local Woman of the year award are now open. The Monaro Woman of the year award aims to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements, contributions, and dedication of women who have made a significant and meaningful impact within the local community.
The community is encouraged to nominate local women whose efforts have positively influenced the Monaro region. Whether through leadership, community service, sporting endeavours or innovation, the award seeks to honour those who exemplify resilience, passion, and a commitment to making a difference.
Mr Whan says he is "excited to see the nominations start for the 2024 Monaro Woman of the Year. The award is a testament to the strength and diversity of women in the Monaro region and highlights the importance of acknowledging the vital role women play in shaping the future.
"The award is about being able to shine a spotlight on the incredible women who contribute to the vibrancy and success of the Monaro region, serving as a platform to express our gratitude and admiration for their valuable contributions and dedications. I look forward to celebrating each nominee at the awards day next year."
All nominees for the 2024 Monaro Local Woman of the Year award will be invited to attend a celebratory event in early March 2024, where the winner will be announced.
